We have had a dry spell from March to June with rainfall at 60% of normla levels. After a cool start to the year temperatures in June returned to normal levels.

After the wettest November on record, December was much cooler than normal.

What a summer so far. June was the third wettest in twenty years and Jylu has been the second wettest in twenty years. July had daytime temperatures about 3 degrees below that of recent years. Great!

Well temperatures are returninb to normal levels after the cold start but we are now experiencing a series of dry month. What will be next!

What a start to 2009, the coldest temperature was -7c on the 6th which was the coldest night since 1991. January was the coldest month overall since January 1997. This supports my view that global warming has stopped in the UK since around 1997.
