This summer was particularly wet and this was accompanied by cool temperatures. The explanation is that the azores high was weak and hence depressions tracked further south than normal.

2008 started wet and mild but February reversed that trend being dry and cool.

2007 was a wet year. Only tw0 years had higher rainfall in the last twenty. It was also a cooler year with average temperatures the lowest since 2001.

June was cool and damp with no spell of settled weather which was very unusual.

April was the warmest on record and exceptionally dry in Bristol. This is despite temperatures only reaching 21c which is not exceptional.

This year has started mild and wet. Last winter was exceptionally mild overall in Bristol.
